Leading North American specialist food can and closure manufacturer Silgan expects even stronger sales figures in 2012 as its acquisitions in the US and European canmaking markets take full effect.

Sales at Connecticut-based Silgan for the 2011 year were 14.3 percent up at $3.51 billion, partly following its expansion projects and the pass through of higher material costs.
