Leading Italian canmaking coatings and inks manufacturer Metlac is to be acquired outright by AkzoNobel.

AkzoNobel, one of the world’s leading paints and coatings producers, has owned a share in Metlac since it was inherited with the acquisition of ICI in 2008. The terms of the deal were not revealed.
