March 29: Aluminium producer Alcoa increased its US used beverage can recycling capacity by 50 percent with the opening on Friday of a processing plant in Tennessee.

The $24 million Tennessee Operations Can Reclamation facility includes a new crusher and delacquering furnace and supporting building enclosures, utilities and environmental systems.
