Germany’s speciality chemicals group Altana has acquired the can sealants business of US-based Watson Standard.

In an asset share deal, the value of which was not revealed, the Wesel-based Actega coatings & sealants division of Altana has taken on customers, products, know how and inventories from the Watson Standard Adhesives Co. The business will be run from Actega’s site near Philadelphia and incorporated into Actega’s Artística operations.
