Aluminium packaging recycling rates in the UK have officially exceeded their 2020 target with three months of the year still remaining, according to the latest data from the Environment Agency.
In the three months to the end of September, 42,265 tonnes were collected for recycling, an increase of 41 per cent compared with the same period in 2019 and 4 per cent higher than the previous quarter in 2020 (40,653t).
