Another award for the Impress beer keg

November 22: The Heineken Beer Keg from canmaking firm Impress has won its eighth prize with the Metal Pack of the Year at the recent 2010 UK Packaging News Awards.

The category at the awards was sponsored by the Metal Packaging Manufacturers Association, and replaced the yearly Best in Metal awards.

Made at Impress’s factory at Weissenthurm in Germany, the 5-litre Beer Keg includes a number of key design features such as an internal carbon dioxide canister to maintain a constant carbonation of the beer for up to a month after opening, and now has a temperature indicator on the lithographed label.
