October 1: Steelmaker ArcelorMittal has confirmed that it will be raising the prices of its tin mill products by 15 percent in North America from 1 January 2008.
Customers have been mailed a letter in which the increase was said to be in response to “unacceptable disparity that exists between our manufacturing costs and current transaction prices for tin mill products”.
