December 8: Ardagh Group, the newly-formed Irish-based packaging manufacturer created from Ardagh Glass and Impress Group, will benefit from having a strong blue-chip food and drinks portfolio of customers and a global sweep for growth, said chief executive Niall Wall.

 Speaking to The Canmaker soon after the 1.7 billion euro deal was completed yesterday, Wall said the company’s strategy would be to “follow the Ardagh mantra of ‘one brand, one vision’ and to integrate both businesses. The two teams have been working closely. This is not a cold start”.
