Asia and Canada help keep Red Bull buzzing

February 11: Even amidst a global economic crisis, its seems that consumers will still pay for their daily caffeine hit: worldwide sales of energy drink giant Red Bull grew by more than 450 million cans in 2008.
Volume rose by 13.2 percent year-on-year, to reach 4.02 billion cans of its flagship Red Bull energy drink, Red Bull Sugar Free, and 2008’s portfolio addition Red Bull Cola. Sales rose by 7.9 percent to 3.32bn euros ($4.3bn).
