August 14: Ball Corporation is clear of any anti-trust issues in the acquisition of four canmaking plants from Anheuser-Busch InBev (A-B InBev).

Yesterday the waiting period expired without a request for additional information from the US Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission, meaning that the proposed US$577 million deal to buy four of Metal Container Corporation’s 11 beverage can and end plants will go ahead.
