Ball’s Hassloch plant after it was last rebuilt in 1998
April 13: The fire that wrecked a beverage can plant in Germany on the morning of April 1 was not a result of arson attempts.
Despite efforts by staff and 270 fire fighters, the Ball Packaging Europe plant at Hassloch was almost completely destroyed in half an hour.
