Chinese beverage can manufacturer Baosteel Packaging has completed the first shipments from its newest canmaking plant to Tsingtao, the country’s biggest brewer.

The order for 20 million cans is a coup for the plant at Wuhan, which started production in February. It is Baosteel Packaging’s fifth plant, and its first to make aluminium cans that meet the more exacting requirements for beer.
