Baosteel to double Chinese metal decorating capacity

August 12: Chinese steel maker Baosteel is to expand the metal decorating service provided by its subsidiary Baodeco by doubling the printing capacity its facility at Huairou.
Baodeco has ordered a second Metalstar2 press from Germany’s KBA-Metalprint. The contract signing ceremony for the project took place recently at the Kempinski Hotel in Beijing.
Installation of the second line will begin early in 2009 at Huairou, close to the Great Wall heritage site of Mutianyu in the factory operated by Baodeco’s strategic canmaking partner ORG. Like the first line, the Metalstar2 will use UV-curing systems and will be highly automated.
