September 21: Rexam’s Milton Keynes, UK, beverage can plant is one of the best factories in the country, and has an award to prove the fact.

It was highly commended in the Best Engineering Plant section of the Best Factory Awards (BFA) run by Cranfield School of Management in partnership with the magazine Works Management.

It was the first time that Rexam had entered the awards. “The award is a celebration of how hard we work here at Rexam,” said Liam Cairns, plant manager at Milton Keynes. “It recognises the passion, leadership and commitment of the people at the site. It highlights just what can be achieved by focusing on customer satisfaction, the development of people and the driving of operational excellence and innovation.
