Sales of beverage cans in Germany grew by 56 percent in the third quarter of 2010, evidence that the market is reviving despite the limitations of the deposit system that taxes one-way packaging. 

The figures show that sales in Germany are accelerating. In the first three months of the year, sales were up by 14 percent compared with the same period in 2009 while in the second quarter sales were up by 52 percent.
