June 28: Retailers in Germany are being targeted by an aluminium can recycling programme that could boost the success of a revised deposit system for one-way drinks packaging.
Leading aluminium rolled products manufacturer Novelis is setting up the scheme in which retailers will be able to find out how much their collected cans will be worth on an internet web site.
Each can is worth about one eurocent.
