August 24: An iced coffee drink marketed by Coca-Cola and coffee shop chain Caribou will be launched in lightweight aluminium bottles in the US next week.
As previously reported in The Canmaker, the ready-to-drink coffee will be sold in recloseable bottles made by Ball Corporation.
Coca-Cola announced this week that the 12-ounce bottles will be available in leading convenience stores and other retail outlets in Minneapolis, Chicago, Atlanta, Cincinnati, Columbus, Detroit and Kansas City. Later this year, the aluminium bottles will also be available at Caribou coffee shops.
