September 6: For the sixth year running, Brazil is the world’s leader in the recycling of aluminium beverage cans, according to the latest data from the Brazilian aluminium association – Abal.
South America’s largest market for drinks cans recycled 10.3 billion cans in 2006, or 94.4 percent of its output, recovering a record 140,000 tonnes of the metal.
