General line canmaking firm BWAY expects to meet earnings targets by the end of its financial year despite weak demand in the third quarter.

Sales in the three months to the end of June were up by 13.8 percent to US$328.5 million mostly as a result of acquisitions in its metal and plastics divisions and higher raw material driven selling prices.
