January 19: Poland’s top canmaking company Can-Pack has boosted its crown cork production capacity with the setting up of a joint venture in Egypt.
Can-Pack Metal Closures, a subsidiary of Can-Pack, established Can Pack Linco in Cairo at the beginning of the year with Linco Joint Stock Company, a local crown cork manufacturer.
The move is part of Can-Pack’s strategy, which it says is “to build a crown cork holding, whose production capacity and scope of operation shall secure flexibility of supplies of crown closures to customers in all of Europe, North Africa and the Middle East”.
