June 19: With growing demand for beer in central Europe, the latest beverage can line in the region will be installed in Poland. The country’s leading canmaker Can-Pack is building its ninth beverage can line for commissioning early in 2008.
Although it was known that Can-Pack was planning the project with process equipment being delivered to Poland, the location had been kept a secret.
“I can confirm that our new can line will be located in Poland. We plan to put it into production at the beginning of the first quarter,” the company’s vice president for operations Stanislaw Wasko told The Canmaker.
