July 2: Canmaking tooling manufacture Lieb Precision Tool (LPT) plans to expand its product range and production capacity after Germany’s Wallram Group purchased the company outright.
Hans-Peter Kämpfer became the sole owner, president and chief executive after he acquired the 49 percent owned by company founder David Lieb. LPT, based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, will become part of the Wallram Group, based in Germany and owned by Kämpfer.
