Canmaker to the rescue with fundraising cans

May 1: Canmaking company Impress is encouraging people in the UK to become life-saving ‘superheroes’ by supporting a fund-raising initiative by charity Save The Children, which is launched tomorrow.
Volunteer ‘superheroes’ such as pop star Matt Willis will receive tins supplied by the canmaker containing promotional t-shirts, tips and guidelines on fundraising, world maps and memory sticks featuring videos of previous action taken by Save The Children in response to global emergencies.
When a disaster occurs, the volunteers will receive instructions in a text message to open their tins – which also serve as collection tins – and begin fund-raising activities to help provide immediate relief.
