Canmaking plants near Brisbane in Queensland, Australia, had to be closed during the recent floods, but none were reported to be damaged by the waters.

The Ardagh food can plant at Rocklea in the southern suburbs of Brisbane suffered from a loss of power which had been cut off for safety reasons. Production at the plant, formerly an Amcor facility and more recently owned by Impress which has been acquired by Ardagh, was resumed this week.
