February 12: More beverage canmaking capacity is coming on stream in Brazil to meet growing domestic demand for canned drinks.
Crown Holdings expects its third factory to be commissioned in the north east by the end of March and Ball Corporation will have its new plant in the south east operational later this year.
Crown’s chief executive John Conway (left) said, “We are just beginning now to make first cans and will be solidly into commercial production by the end of the quarter.”
