Canned whisky could be banned in Scotland

Sales of a new canned whisky could be banned by industry bosses in Scotland.

Sir Edwin’s whisky sold in 33cl aluminium cans is on sale in the Caribbean and South America. Its makers reckon it’s perfect for outdoor party drinking.

But The Scotch Whisky Association may try to ban the cans for breaking rules on labelling, reports the Daily Record newspaper.
