Tooling equipment supplier Danobat-Overbeck of Germany will be showing its IRD-400 C grinding machine. This features a novel concept for the flexible and economical manufacturing of a whole range of tooling for cupping and bodymaking operations by providing high reliability and productivity.

The machine achieves highly accurate finishes with its Axis control that allows complex internal shapes to be made using a single wheel and in one contour line, thus maximising productivity.

Constructed on a granite base and making use of directly-driven, high-speed spindles, the tooling made on the machine is said to ensure the quality and stability of the can production. The machine’s control software allows for fast programming and there are a range of software options for specific applications.
