June 9: Metal packaging had a high profile in the restructured 2008 Starpack Awards, organised by the Packaging Society and held in London.
Despite the dropping of material-specific awards, metal containers were popular with the judges.
Crown Food Europe’s Easylift easy-open end was the biggest winner of the awards, collecting the Gold Award in both the Consumer Products and Technical Development categories, and the Consumer Convenience Special Award.
