As part of balancing its beverage can capacity in the US with changing demand, Ball is to close a plant in North Carolina. At the same time, it has announced that Erik Bouts, who joined Ball in Europe to run its global beverage can business two years ago, is leaving the company and will be replaced by Dan Fisher.
