October 8: Canadian-based aluminium aerosol and bottle manufacturer CCL Industries has agreed to sell its 40 percent stake in Portuguese joint-venture ColepCCL to majority partner RAR Sociedade de Controle SA.
ColepCCL provides contract bottling and filling services for the personal care, household and pharmaceutical industries.
The sale price is $140 million in cash and is nearly double CCL’s initial investment in the project, the company said.
