Soaring growth in beer and soft drinks consumption in Kazakhstan is behind the decision by Crown Holdings to build the country’s first beverage can plant. Canned drinks are currently shipped to the huge central Asian republic mostly from Russia, but with a number of international fillers expanding their operations there, Crown wants to take the lead.
