February 20: Chinese tinplate makers are adding manufacturing lines to their operations in response to increased demand from the domestic food and beverage canmaking markets.
At least 950,000 tonnes of tinplate and tin-free steel are scheduled to come into stream by mid 2009 following investments by three suppliers.
