City University to help improve can coating quality

December 1: Better techniques for controlling the quality of coatings on food, drink and aerosol cans are expected with the start of research project between equipment supplier Sencon and City University London.

 

The three-year Knowledge Transfer Partnership will cost £200,000 (US$312,000) of which about a third is being funded by the UK arm of Sencon, a leading sensor and control systems supplier to the metal packaging industry, with the remainder coming from the UK’s Technology Strategy Board.
