January 14: Canmaking equipment manufacturer CarnaudMetalbox Engineering has sold the 500th example of its 5000 Series D&I bodymaking machine.
D&I (draw & iron) bodymakers are used in canmaking plants for the production of two-piece beverage and food cans. CMB’s 500th 5000 series machine will be completed at the end of next month for delivery with other similar machines for use on a second production line soon to be installed at Crown Bevcan’s plant at Bangkadi in Thailand.
