Coca-Cola bids for China’s biggest juice maker

September 3: Coca-Cola is planning to make its biggest-ever overseas acquisition with a US$2.4 billion deal in China to buy the Huiyuan Juice Group.
Huiyuan is the largest fruit and vegetable juice company in China with a 10.3 percent market share, followed by Coca-Cola with 9.7 percent, reports Euromonitor. It has 31 production facilities.
