Coca-Cola forces competitor to change aluminium bottle design

July 17: Dairy drink manufacturer Yoplait has been forced to relaunch its Dizzy Yop drink in redesigned aluminium bottles this month after a French court of appeal agreed with Coca-Cola that the original design looked like the signature Coke shape.

The Paris court’s ruling – which applies worldwide, said Coca-Cola’s Paris legal office – was made only days before the soft drinks giant began test-marketing a similar carbonated milk product, also packaged in aluminium bottles.
