April 26: Food cans could soon be featuring coloured easy-open tabs of the type soon to be again rolled out for Coors Light in the US this summer.
Golden Aluminum, which was exhibiting at Cannex in Las Vegas this week, produces coloured stock for a range of applications, including tabs and ends. Last year it produced half a million pounds of aluminium with a blue coating which were made into tabs for promotional Coors Light cans, a scheme which is due to run again this year.
