Community canners support earthquake victims

January 22: Volunteers in the US are canning meat for shipping to the victims of the earthquake in Haiti.

A mobile meat canner run by the Mennonite Central Committee at Goshen, Indiana, is used by the volunteers to pack meat for sending to people in need around the world.

Last year volunteers in the US and Canada used the mobile meat canner to fill more than 534,000 cans of turkey, beef and pork.
