Courtauld 2 could expose costs structures, say canmakers

March 4: Canmaking companies are concerned that Courtauld Commitment 2, the latest version of an agreement in the UK between WRAP, retailers and brand owners announced today, could be used to reveal cost structures in the metal packaging industry by monitoring carbon emissions in its supply chain.

Courtauld 2 moves away from solely weight-based targets and aims to achieve more sustainable use of resources over the entire lifecycle of products, throughout the whole supply chain, says WRAP, the UK-government-backed Waste Resources Action Programme.
