May 19: CPMC Canmaking, a division of China’s diverse COFCO group, has started work on its second DWI beverage can plant.
The plant at Wuhan is expected to produce aluminium cans for Wanglaoji, and is close to the new filling lines of JDB, which is the licensee for the fast-growing herbal tea brand.
A ground-breaking ceremony was held last month with a target date for making cans on September 2010.
