Two of Ardagh Group’s canmaking products have been awarded Cradle to Cradle certification by environmental assessment agency EPEA. Ardagh’s commercial director Woep Möller (pictured right) was presented with the award by environmental scientist Professor Michael Braungart.
Ardagh is said to be the first packaging company to gain the coveted Cradle to Cradle certification for both a baby food and a paint can.
Cradle to Cradle is a concept that calls for the transformation of human industry through ecologically-intelligent design, and has been detailed in a book of the same name by William McDonough and Braungart.
