April 23: A machine for lining crown caps, which operates by cold-moulding the gasket, is being promoted by Sacmi Imola.
Called the PMC500, it has a maximum output of 4,500 caps a minute, and is compatible with a range of PVC-based and PVC-free plastics materials. It also operates with the PTC027 press, to create a compact production unit, says Sacmi.
