March 17: World leading canmaking company Crown Holdings has confirmed its plans to build a fifth beverage can plant in China.
The plant will be at Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang province, 120km south west of Shanghai.
First revealed by chief executive John Conway after Crown’s 2009 results were announced in February, the new plant will be large enough to accommodate a number of beverage can lines.
