June 3: A metal decorating press operator was recognised for the first time at the International Metal Decorators Association annual convention held in Chicago in May with a special award.
Brian Morris, who works at Crown’s service centre at Aurora in Illinois, was nominated by his manager Brian Shaughnessy for consistently producing good quality print, continuously improving productivity, improving quality maintenance programmes and boosting the morale of his colleagues.
Morris, 45, who has worked at Aurora for 25 years, was presented with the award by the IMDA’s Ken Matyska.
