The world’s leader in the production of aluminium sheet used in canmaking plants, Novelis has reported a net loss of US$12 million in the financial quarter to the end of 2011, as customers destocked in Europe “due to economic uncertainty”. It was an improvement on the loss of $46m in the same period of 2010.
