September 20: Beverage can sales in Europe jumped more than three percent in 2005 to 41.3 billion, according to the most recent report from Beverage Can Makers Europe, which represents the interests of the leading canmakers in the region: Ball, Crown and Rexam.
For soft drinks, can fillings rose by four percent to 20.62 billion while can fillings for beer rose by two percent to 20.67 billion.
