September 20: Ring-pull lids that are easier to use by children and older consumers are being tested by Nestlé Purina on its canned pet foods in Europe.
The lids have been developed by canmaker Crown Holdings which is working with Nestlé Purina Petcare Europe to trial the new lids on its 400g packages of cat and dog food in The Netherlands. Once tests are completed, Nestlé Purina intends to introduce them across all of its major European brands.
