European aluminium canmaking group Boxal is to be sold by its parent Exal to Ardagh in a deal worth about €85 million (US$111m).
The acquisition will give Ardagh a presence in a premium business with customers in the cosmetics, pharmaceutical and drinks sectors. Boxal has two plants making monobloc aerosol cans and bottles, along with aluminium slug making facilities.
