Expansion for Comat tinplate mill in China

Chinese tinplate manufacturer Comat has ambitious plans that could increase its capacity to around 1 million tonnes in the next three years.

Its mill at Jiangyin was recently rebuilt to increase capacity to 600,000 tonnes, said Europe agent Mohamed Gowid, who at Metpack was assisting Bill Chen, general manager of the company – full name Comat Metal Products – which is part of the family-owned Haida group.
