January 15: Bolivian paint manufacturer Brillo Tintas is planning to expand into canmaking with a production line due for commissioning later this year.

Based in Santa Cruz, Brillo Tintas has been buying cans for its paint products from local manufacturers and from Peru, but chief executive Edgar Rosales wants to move into making food cans, which is why he has ordered a new three-piece welding line and refurbished printing and coating equipment.
